202210: EAST SEPIK PROVINCE - RIVER TOUR
Day 01:
Fly Port Moresby to Wewak.
Arrive Wewak, meet and transfer by vehicle straight to Pagwi- Sepik River Bank.
Meet and transfer onto wooden dugout canoe and transfer downstream to Kamanibit village.
Overnight stay at Kamanibit Lodge.
Day 2:
Full day tour by canoe to Kanganumun Village and cruise downstream to Tambanum Village.
Return boat trip back to Kamanibit Village.
Overnight stay at Kamanibit Lodge.
Day 3:
Full day canoe trip to Chambri Lake and Wombun Village for clay pot making,
Return to Kaminibit Lodge for overnight.
Day 4:
Transfer by boat to Pagwi and vehicle transfer to Wewak airport.
Extended optional Canoe trips into the Upper Sepik River region, Lower Sepik River available.
Wewak Town is the provincial capital. Its is serviced by daily flights from Port Moresby.
Wewak remains as gateway town to travel across the Sepik plain to reach Sepik River banks.
Sepik River remains the isonic water ways for the Sepik River people.
Daily trips and island stay trips are avilable to take out to the islands for island stays.
Sepik River people are master artists that are well known for their Artifacts carvings.
Land Tours of Wewak and Surroundings available. As well as Island day trip for swimming, snorkeling, fishing available. Wetland or River Birds are excellent for Bird watchers.
